Senior Move Management
Transitioning to a smaller home or assisted living can be very overwhelming for seniors - many of whom have lived in and loved their homes for many decades. BK Organizing provides organizing expertise, project management and access to an extensive network of vendors throughout this process. We coordinate directly with the homeowner and also work with realtors and/or grown children to support the client through this transition and minimize stress. This service includes:
Sorting, decluttering and creating a plan for passing along accumulated years of household items
Space planning to determine precisely what can fit in the planned assisted living or a downsized space
Coordinating donations, consignment, recycling and trash to empty and prepare the home for staging
Project management for the move itself, including packing, unpacking and hiring and overseeing movers
Access to our network of haulers, consigners, donation locations and other vendors
Resources and referrals available for correctly preserving and passing along keepsakes and memorabilia
